Det er ofte i denne periode, at familierne begynder at pynte hjemmet. Ogs\u00e5 butikkernes vinduer bliver fyldt med lysdekorationer, guirlander, rensdyr og hyrder.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I et land med katolsk tradition er <span style=\"color: #b81657;\"><strong>julekrybben<\/strong><\/span> naturligvis en af de store juletraditioner. Man pynter den selv med Jomfru Maria, Josef, de tre vise m\u00e6nd og Jesusbarnet (som l\u00e6gges i krybben den 25. december). Nogle gange tilf\u00f8jer man frugt og b\u00e6r som sm\u00e5 gaver til Jesusbarnet. Foran Nationalteatret i San Jos\u00e9 laves krybben i naturlig st\u00f8rrelse af lokale kunstnere.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #b81657;\"><strong>Juletr\u00e6et<\/strong><\/span> er til geng\u00e6ld ikke en gran, men en cypres \u2013 en duft, mange costaricanere holder af for dens friske, aromatiske pr\u00e6g.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #b81657;\"><strong>Den 24. december<\/strong><\/span> er det vigtigt at starte juleaften med julemesse, som typisk ligger omkring kl. 20.
